North Carolina Concealed Carry Course
This course is required by the state of North Carolina in order to obtain a concealed carry permit.
Classroom time of 8 hours is included and areas covered include: Legal Issues Handgun Safety Cleaning & Maintenance and more....
In addition to the classroom training, time at the firing range is included to qualify personnel in order to complete the training.
Classes are open to the public but private classes are available as well. Private classes require a minimum number of students. Call (910) 805-2196 or email for details.
Also included are range fees, refreshments throughout the day and lunch catered in to the classroom.
Rick Paxton has over 20 years firearms training experience.
One on one personal firearms instruction is available at the rate of $45 per hour.

NRA FIRST STEPS PISTOL COURSE
FIRST stands for “Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training”, a program the NRA developed to meet the need for a firearms orientation program for new gun purchasers. This FIRST Steps program is a basic courses abbreviated to the most fundamental shooting skills, and the specifics of a particular model of pistol. This course, because of its narrow focus, can be completed as quickly as three hours. Students will get the NRA's The Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and quick practical lessons on the safe use, cleaning, and storage of their pistol. The practical exercise covers a single pistol shooting position. As the number of participants or pistol types present increases, the course will take proportionally longer.

NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE
The Basic Pistol course can be as short as ten hours. In it students will get the NRA's The Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook and intensive lessons in safety, gun handling, the various types of pistols, the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship, various pistol firing positions, several practical exercises on the firing range, cleaning, storage, and a summary of pistol sports and activities.
